This refreshing slush is perfect on a hot day or after a tough workout. Strawberries are loaded with vitamin C, plus they high in calcium, magnesium, folate, and potassium. Watermelon is low in calories and has a high water content so this recipe doesn’t require much extra liquid.
Ingredients:
One cup frozen strawberries
2 cups watermelon cubes
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
5 – 6 ice cubes
Directions:
Place ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth. Makes two slushes.
Note: you can freeze fresh strawberries for about 1.5 hours before you make this recipe or you can buy bags of frozen strawberries at the grocery store – just be sure the strawberries aren’t packed in sugar or syrup.
