Eggs contain selenium, which is a mineral that your body needs for a strong immune system, and lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants related to vitamin A.

One egg as about 70 calories and the combination of fats and protein means eggs are very satisfying. Eating one egg as part of a healthy breakfast may help you lose weight by keeping you from getting hungry later in the morning.
